Please don't mess up my plans to go to NY this weekend. I'm looking forward to it and will be annoyed if you get in my way. I know the media gets lots of attention and better ratings when they warn us about how you destroy everything in your path. However, I don't think it is asking a lot to hold off until Saturday night. You are more than welcome to start wreaking havoc around 8pm, once I'm safely there. Okay? Please and thank you.

P.S. Ravens beat the Redskins last night in a great battle of the beltways! I know it was preseason, but the game was still a fun one!

Have fun preparing for the storm! I'm going to try to prepare my back yard a bit - bring the breakable things inside. I'm not too worried. Hopefully, there won't be a huge storm surge. Living two blocks from the harbor has its advantages...potential flooding is not one of them.
If for some reason I don't make it to New York, here is my
plan B.
This weekend, I wasn't able to go to New York so I did the next best thing. Can you believe I had never seen An Affair to Remember? It might be one of the most romantic movies ever made. I was so nervous when she didn't make it to the Empire State Building! Cary Grant takes the role of handsome playboy and begins the movie as the classic jerk. Why is it so true that the nice guy always finishes last? This movie captures that silly dream we've all had at one point or another - that you're the girl worth changing for.
