Weekend Wedding

This weekend, Stephanie from Complicated Questions and Simple Answers married her best friend. I've known Steph for years, and it was a treat to celebrate this moment with her. I love watching father/daughter dances at weddings, and was able to catch a gorgeous picture of her with her papa bear. 


Steph and J got married at the Crofton Country club and everything was decorated beautifully. Because we've known each other for so long, her wedding also acted as a bit of a reunion for all of our childhood friends.

I added one of my Whippy Cakes to my dress to switch things up a bit.

Saturday, we went to visit our friends on their farm. I took a ton of pictures, so I'll have to share those tomorrow. What did you all do this weekend?

The Today Show Feature

Last weekend, my housemate went to her friend Emily's wedding. 

Yesterday, she sent me a video from the wedding. 

This morning, it was featured on the Today Show as "what's trending right now." 

Wild!

Beautiful Wedding

My friend's younger sister, who incidentally is my younger sister's friend got married a bit ago. Their wedding video mesmerized me and I had to share. Isn't she gorgeous and just so happy! I love her hairpiece and it goes so well with her dress which is amazingly intricate.  Congratulations, Kelsi! 

To ask or not to ask

Last night, my friend from school, Maribel got engaged!

 Part of her delightfully romantic proposal story included him letting her know that he had talked to her dad about it.

This struck me as a wonderful way of handling it. It gave her the go ahead that he had checked in with them and they were for it. It showed her that he put thought into planning things and had the courage to ask. A lot of people consider that to be old fashioned these days, but I think it really demonstrates respect. Totally love it!

Thoughts? 

Should a guy ask for a blessing or permission? Should he tell the girl he asked or have her assume he did? Would anyone be offended by him asking? Does it hearken back to the days of arranged marriages? What happens if dad says no!?!
