This weekend we attended a dear friend's wedding, caught up with long time friends, went walking and carved some pumpkins.

On our way to the wedding reception - Eastport Bridge,
so glad I brought a coat! |
Growing up, my family never celebrated Halloween, so I was silly excited about my first trip to the pumpkin patch! We ate delicious cider doughnuts & drank cider slushies. I went a little bit nuts buying gourds and pumpkins to decorate my kitchen table. I have yet to take pictures of it, but I promise they're coming shortly!

| First pumpkin carving! |
Apparently, using a spoon to scoop out the pumpkin is the girly way of doing things. The insides are so slimy and gross though that I think next time I'll take the girly title!
 |
LOVE hanging out in our back yard at night -
these lanterns are the best! |
 |
I finished mine first and was so antsy to light the candles in them.
I was good and waited until we were both done though! |
The mouth of my Jack O'Lantern turned out a bit larger than I had originally envisioned. Still, I'm pretty in love with it. Check out his off-kilter goofy eyebrows...isn't he adorable?!
 |
| Okay, it turned out to be pretty scary looking! |
 |
I'm shocked that some of our flowers
are still in bloom! |
 |
| Kath planted some mums for us! |

| I am so proud of our pumpkins! |
I'm really enjoying autumn this year. Even though the weather has gotten chilly, the air is crisp and we've had some sunshine. It's really great that I can hang out on Federal Hill and look out over the harbor, or take walks down by the water - definitely one of the highlights of living here. As much as I love the warmth of summer, the cold has brought clarity. What is your favorite part of this season?
