Grace & Elegance

I am the picture of grace and elegance, at all times. The other day, I was walking down the street with a classmate. We had just met that day and were taking a quick food break from our studying. As we were walking, he pointed out where the UMD law school building was. It happened to be behind us, so I was looking for it over my shoulder as we were walking. He pointed out some lights and tried to describe the building to me, and I still couldn't quite figure out which one it was.

So we're walking, and I'm looking, and BAM, a street post stopped me dead in my tracks.

Yes, that's right, I walked smack dab into a street sign. I didn't just casually run my shoulder into it and keep walking...no, dead center, straight down the middle of my body, ran into the freaking street sign.

Thank God I was looking behind me or it totally would have resulted in a bloody nose, contributing to my general put together appearance. Needless to say, I was so shocked, it took me a second to laugh at how absurd it was. I mean, I literally walked smack dab into a street sign. Can you imagine what the homeless guy sitting there thought?! My poor classmate had just met me, so he was scared to laugh at me, meanwhile I'm losing it laughing like a loon. I tried to tell a friend about it when I got back to school and started crying before I could spit it out, because I was laughing so hard just thinking about it.

And that, my friends, is why you should never multitask while walking.
